Hull cleaning

America Dive & Recovery provides a underwater inspection and hull cleaning service. With rising fuel and maintenance costs, our customers have the satisfaction of knowing they are getting the most return of their leisure and vacation money.

A fouled boat hull increases fuel costs by 15% to 20% or more, causes the engine to work harder, running at higher RPM's than needed, and creates more drag in the water causing poor performance and customer enjoyment.

When America Dive & Recovery cleans the hull of your boat, we always use the least abrasive materials that will effectively clean the painted surfaces. We clean this way to eliminate any environmental impact caused by the release of chemicals with-in the paint into the water. If colored plumes are visible during the cleaning, the hull is being cleaned too aggressively.

Hull inspections

America Dive & Recovery is available to provide underwater hull inspections complete with written report, pictures, or video  in DVD format.

Why would I need to have my hull inspected? The dollar amount can rise quickly if the decision is made to remove a larger boat from the water. Also consider the lost time of using your boat and the risk that a problem area may be missed that is hidden by the bumpers of the trailer. There is also a risk of causing damage that was'nt there from unneccesary movement while in transport on the trailer. Of course, there are times when it is neccesary to remove a boat for repairs, and we are here to assist you in that decision.

Prop removal and installation

America Dive & Recovery Knows the importance of a properly maintained prop to achieve peak performance from your boat. A damaged prop causes a imbalance that over time can harm other components of the boats engine/outdrive.

We can install a new prop for you or take your old prop and have it reconditioned.

During the removal/ installation, we also inspect the outdrive/lower unit for any exterior damage.
